COPENHAGEN – Four Nordic capitals – Oslo, Helsinki, Stockholm and Copenhagen – will host the “Welcome Citizen Number 7 Billion” photo exhibition this fall. With images and text by National Geographic and UNFPA, the exhibition explores challenges and possibilities in a world of 7 billion people. The exhibition is being organized with partners in each country.
• In Oslo, the exhibition will be shown outdoors at the Town Hall square on October 26-November 8 in collaboration with the Norwegian UN Association.
• In Helsinki, it will be shown at the Vestibyyli at the main railway station on October 24-November 6 in collaboration with the Finnish UN Association.
• In Stockholm, the exhibition will be shown at Fotografiska museet from October 26-November 13 in collaboration with the Swedish UN Association.
• In Copenhagen, it will take place in the Town Hall, Rådhushallen, November 9-19, in collaboration with the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In Norway and Sweden, the UNFPA State of World Population report, entitled “People and possibilities in a world of 7 billion,” will be launched at the exhibition’s opening events.
The world will officially reach 7 billion people on 31 October.
